Culinary Delights
Upon arrival at Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St. inn, guests are treated to a culinary extravaganza that showcases the finest flavors of Kyoto: two breakfasts: the Dashi Chazuke Breakfast with seasonal flavors; or, the Chic Western breakfast at Kyomachiya. Alternatively, you can enjoy a Wagyu Ryotei dinner at Bungo, Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St.’s own restaurant.
During our visit, we enjoyed a four-course Wagyu Ryotei dinner at Bungo. The Wagyu course is not just a feast for the taste buds but a celebration of local ingredients and culinary craftsmanship.
The first meal sizzles with a hearty beef and bonito broth soup, followed by tender slices of Wagyu red meat accompanied by Kyoto's fresh vegetables. The subtle flavors of Brussels sprouts with Aosa seaweed and smoked soy sauce elevate the dining experience, leaving guests craving for more.
Next, the second meal presents a trio of Wagyu sushi, enhanced with truffle salt and butter, and adorned with Japanese pickles and caviar. The delicate balance of flavors, including the plum miso-infused fillet, dances on the palate, creating a symphony of taste.
For the third course, guests indulge in Shabu-Shabu meat served with Ponzu sauce, alongside a medley of radish, daikon, and Nama-fu. The meal is complemented by Chawan-mushi steamed egg custard infused with the bitterness of shuungi, accompanied by the fiery kick of Shichimi seven spice blend.
Finally, a delightful strawberry warabi-mochi offers a sweet conclusion to the culinary journey, perfectly paired with refreshing peach juice and Oolong cha tea.
Artistic Accommodations
After savoring the culinary delights, guests are invited to explore the Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St. inn's bespoke rooms, each designed around the themes of earth, water, sun, moon, and night. An extra space to work or relax is also offered in the room, as are wall art work and modern amenities including Western-style, luxurious bedding and bathroom, fast Wi-Fi access, and a mini fridge generously filled with an assortment of craft beer, wine and sake, in addition to non-alcoholic drink choices.
